What’s included?

Throughout the course, you will complete:

Typical course duration: 6 weeks. This assumes you can commit to at least 2.5 hours of study each week.

The minimum learning hours for this course is 14.

The recommended maximum course duration, for the ISO 9001:2015 Internal Auditor Course is 3 months.

To gain maximum benefit from this course, you are expected to have prior knowledge of Quality Management Systems and the requirements of ISO 9001:2015.

Management Systems Knowledge

  • An understanding of the Plan–Do–Check–Act (PDCA) cycle
  • Awareness of how management systems operate and are structured.

Quality Management Knowledge

  • A basic understanding of quality management principles
  • Awareness of the relationship between quality management and customer satisfaction
  • Ability to interpret commonly used quality management terms and definitions, as outlined in ISO 9000.

ISO 9001:2015 Knowledge

  • Knowledge of the structure and key requirements of ISO 9001:2015
  • Understanding of how ISO 9001 requirements are applied within an organisation.

This knowledge may be gained through:

  • Previous workplace experience
  • Self-study
  • Completion of a CQI and IRCA Certified ISO 9001 Foundation (QMS) course or equivalent.

If you are new to ISO 9001, we recommend you study our CQI and IRCA Certified Introduction to ISO 9001:2015 course to ensure you are fully prepared.

Copy of the ISO 9001 Standard

You will need access to a copy of ISO 9001:2015 throughout the course and access to ISO 19011 would be beneficial. Please note: A copy of these standards is not provided as part of this training. Standards can be obtained from the BSI website.

English Language Competency

Course delivery is in English and a good standard of written and spoken English is required to participate effectively in learning and assessment activities. This is self-assessed and is not formally evaluated by rove.

Learning Environment

You will need to ensure you have a suitable environment (i.e. quiet room where you will not be disturbed) to complete your learning and practical assessments.

At the point of enrolment, you will be asked to confirm that you meet the eligibility criteria for this course. This can be done either by confirming completion of the ISO 9001:2015 – Quality Management Systems (FD116) course, or by answering a series of questions to demonstrate your knowledge of quality management systems, quality management principles and concepts and the requirements of ISO 9001.

On successful completion you will be awarded a Certificate of Achievement.
