The CQI and IRCA Professional Quality Management courses are aimed at experienced practitioners looking to advance to a strategic level and aspiring to become a Chartered Quality Professional. They meet the knowledge requirements for membership of the CQI at Chartered Quality Professional level (CQP MCQI).

This course develops your leadership skills in applying risk and quality planning within supply chain assurance. You’ll leave able to ensure customer and stakeholder requirements are met, assess supply chain capability and coach top management in strategic supply chain leadership and supplier quality roles.

IS THE COURSE RIGHT FOR ME? 

Designed for experienced practitioners seeking strategic expertise and a pathway to Chartered Quality Professional (CQP MCQI) status.  

The CQI and IRCA recommend you complete the relevant Practitioner course OR hold equivalent knowledge / experience (minimum of 5 years). 

At the point of enrolment, we ask you to provide a brief statement on your experience, training, qualifications and study goals (or you can send your CV). Our Programme Lead will assess this to ensure the level is appropriate and will support your development aims.

WHAT’S INCLUDED? 

Course fees cover tutorial support, course induction, learning, assessment and support materials, an account for our learning management system and CQI and IRCA registration and certification.

HOW WILL I LEARN AND BE ASSESSED?  

Develop your competence in quality management with our fully online CQI and IRCA certified courses, which includes:

All learning within the programme is assessed through completion of a course workbook, where you will demonstrate your understanding of key concepts and quality management principles. 

You will receive ongoing assessment feedback from your tutor throughout the course, supporting reflection, further development and the growth of effective quality management skills and confidence in applying them.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE?

TYPICAL COURSE DURATION: 10 WEEKS

This assumes you can commit to at least 4 hours of study each week. You and your tutor will agree your planned end date, during your induction.

The minimum learning hours for each course is 40 (excluding PR302 which is 24).

The course resource provides additional sources for research and so study time can exceed this if you wish to get more out of the course.

The maximum course duration, set by the CQI and IRCA, for each course is 6 months and for completion of the Certificate is 3 years.

WHAT WILL I GAIN? 

Once you’ve successfully completed your course, you will be awarded a Certificate of Achievement. 

The Professional Certificate in Quality Management is awarded, by the CQI, following the successful completion of all six Professional courses. 

Completion of the Professional Certificate meets the knowledge requirements for membership of the CQI at Chartered Quality Professional level (CQP MCQI).
