Podcasts are a great way of contributing to your Continuing Professional Development (CPD). They enable you to keep your skills and knowledge up to date.  They can also be inspirational and enable you to join, and contribute to, your chosen community – personally or professionally.  We asked our CQI and IRCA quality management learners to share their top quality management and business podcast recommendations.

1: ISO STANDARDS

Whether you haven’t got the first clue about ISO Standards, or you’re a highly experienced quality management professional who would like to gain an insight into new standards, why not check out the ISO Show? Thanks to Sarah Ball, who’s studying the Practitioner Certificate in quality management, for the heads up.  We’ll be tuning in next week!

David Callau Casajust, a Supplier Quality Development Engineer, has recommended three podcasts.  He said these have helped him refocus the quality and continuous improvements, from the perspective of helping his team.

2: A BIT OF OPTIMISM

First up is Simon Sinek’s – A Bit of Optimism.  Simon is a British-American author and inspirational speaker. An unshakeable optimist who believes in a bright future and our ability to build it together. Described as “a visionary thinker with a rare intellect,” he has dedicated his professional life to help advance a vision of the world which does not yet exist.  A world which the vast majority of people wake up every single morning inspired, feel safe wherever they are, and end the day fulfilled by the work they do. You can listen to Simon talking with people who inspire him about love, life, leadership, and silver linings, here.

3: COACH FOR LEADERSHIP

If you agree with Dr. Dave Stachowiak and his belief that leaders aren’t born, they’re made – you might want to tune into Coach for Leadership.   This weekly podcast, which has been downloaded more than 25 million times, helps you discover leadership wisdom through insightful conversations. Dave helps leaders discover practical wisdom, build meaningful relationships, and create movement for genuine results.

So, if you’re the type of person who takes responsibility to improve themselves, has a desire to better the careers of others, and show up in the world with a kind and humble heart, ready to make it better, find out more at Coaching For Leaders.

4: TRULY HUMAN LEADERSHIP

David’s final recommendation is Chairman and CEO of Barry-Wehmiller, Bob Chapman’s podcast Truly Human Leadership. He is co-author of the book Everybody Matters: The Extraordinary Power of Caring For Your People Like Family.  Barry also writes about issues relating to leadership and workplace culture.

Through the Truly Human Leadership culture and personal growth initiatives, Bob believes we help them become their best selves. And, when we bring out their best, they give their best. To their work, their team members and friends, our customers and suppliers, the people in the communities in which they work and live. And, most important of all – to their families. Before you know it, a better job has helped build a better world! If you want to help build a better world, you can tune in here.
